National Young Health Conference 2026
On 10 May 2026, RHSTEP proudly participated in the National Young Health Conference, where the organization presented an important session on “Adolescent Nutritional Status and Risk of Chronic Diseases.” The session was conducted by Dr. Elvina Mustary, (Joint Director,Program RHSTEP) highlighting the growing importance of adolescent health and nutrition in preventing future non-communicable diseases.
The presentation focused on assessing the nutritional status of adolescents in Dhaka City and identifying their socio-demographic characteristics. The study also evaluated adolescents’ weight, height, and Body Mass Index (BMI) to better understand their overall health conditions. Using BMI as a key indicator, the research aimed to predict potential chronic disease risks and identify possible comorbidities among adolescents at an early stage.
Through this participation, RHSTEP reaffirmed its commitment to promoting adolescent health awareness, evidence-based research, and preventive healthcare initiatives for a healthier future generation.
