Rajshahi UYP Centre organized an interactive “Inclusion & Gender Equity” session on 21 June 2026 at the Rajshahi Unit to raise awareness among students and adolescents about equality, inclusion, and equal participation through engaging presentations, discussions, and group activities.
The session brought together students and adolescents from various schools, colleges, and local communities in Rajshahi. It focused on enhancing participants' understanding of social inclusion, gender equity, and the importance of ensuring equal opportunities regardless of gender, identity, or physical ability.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Project Officer Dipti Sarkar, who emphasized that building an inclusive society requires creating an environment where every individual has an equal opportunity to participate and no one is excluded because of their identity, gender, or abilities.
The technical session was facilitated by Youth Officer Md. Faridul Islam, who delivered an engaging PowerPoint presentation covering key concepts such as Inclusion, Gender, Equity, and the distinction between Equality and Equity. Through practical examples and real-life scenarios, participants gained a clear understanding of why inclusion and gender equity are essential for sustainable social development and equal access to opportunities.
To encourage active participation, the session incorporated interactive games, team-based activities, and collaborative exercises. These practical learning methods enabled participants to experience the value of diversity, mutual respect, and equal opportunity while reinforcing the principles of an inclusive society where no one is left behind.
The program also featured an engaging question-and-answer session, where participants shared their perspectives and responded to questions related to gender equality, inclusion, and social justice. Their enthusiastic involvement contributed to meaningful discussions and enriched the overall learning experience.
The event concluded with closing remarks from the Unit Manager, who encouraged all participants to become champions of inclusion and gender equity within their communities. The session reaffirmed RHSTEP’s ongoing commitment to empowering young people, promoting equal rights, and fostering inclusive communities where everyone can participate with dignity and equal opportunity.
