RHSTEP’s UYP (Unlocking Youth Potential) project organized an inclusive workshop titled “Innovating Advocacy: AI in SRHR Content Creation and Dissemination through Digital Marketing” on 23 June 2026 to equip marginalized youth with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital marketing skills for advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocacy. The workshop brought together young people from Karail Slum, the Mironjilla Dalit (Harijan) community, educational institutions, and young persons with disabilities to promote innovation, inclusion, and gender equity in digital health communication.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Project Manager Abu Raihan, who introduced the objectives of the initiative and emphasized the importance of empowering young people with emerging technologies to strengthen community-based health advocacy and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The day-long workshop was divided into two interactive technical sessions facilitated by Hasib Hasan Chowdhury, Founder of Cib's Solutions, and G. M. Mushfiqur Rahman, Digital Marketing Lead at Biz Mappers. The facilitators introduced participants to the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), content creation strategies, and digital marketing techniques that can be used to raise awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) through online platforms.
The primary objective of the workshop was to familiarize marginalized youth—including residents of Karail Slum, members of the Mironjilla Dalit (Harijan) community, and young persons with disabilities—with the growing potential of AI technology. Participants also explored how AI-powered tools can support the creation of impactful SRHR awareness content, enhance digital engagement, and strengthen youth-led advocacy initiatives.
Approximately 25 young participants actively engaged in practical exercises, where they gained hands-on experience using AI tools to develop and present SRHR-related digital content. The interactive sessions encouraged creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and responsible use of emerging technologies for social impact.
The workshop was successfully coordinated by Program Officers Zubaida Anjum Saba and Tanzina Sultana, with technical support from Graphics Designer Sayma Akter. The program concluded with closing remarks from Project Manager Abu Raihan, who called upon participants to work collectively towards reducing social inequalities and promoting an inclusive, gender-equitable, and digitally empowered society.
The initiative reflects RHSTEP’s continued commitment to youth empowerment, digital innovation, inclusive development, AI-driven advocacy, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Through the Aporajeyo Tarunno (UYP) project, RHSTEP continues to equip young people with future-ready skills that enable them to become effective advocates for equitable healthcare and sustainable social change.
