RHSTEP’s Barishal UYP (Unlocking Youth Potential) Centre organized a Mobile-Based Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop for Adolescents on 25 June 2026 at the RHSTEP Barishal Office. The workshop aimed to strengthen adolescents' digital literacy and technological skills by introducing them to practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for education, creativity, communication, and responsible digital engagement.

The workshop was conducted under the Aporajeyo Tarunno (UYP) project and was facilitated by Abdul Latif Bhuiyan, Computer Instructor (INS) from the Department of Youth Development (DYD), who served as the lead trainer. The event was also attended by Pradip Kumar Biswas, Accounts and Admin Officer of RHSTEP Medical Branch, Barishal.

The primary objective of the workshop was to provide adolescents with hands-on experience in using mobile-based AI tools safely, ethically, and effectively to support their daily learning and creative activities. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and learned how to use AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini to develop effective prompts, simplify complex academic topics, and improve their learning experience.

The training also focused on enhancing participants' digital communication skills by demonstrating how AI can be used to draft professional emails, formal letters, and other written communications with clarity and confidence.

As part of the creative learning segment, participants explored AI-powered design and content creation tools, including Bing Image Creator and Canva AI, to develop visually engaging posters promoting health awareness and environmental sustainability. They also learned how to create one-minute educational videos and social media reels using Canva and CapCut, combining AI-generated scripts, voiceovers, and mobile editing techniques to produce impactful digital content.

The final session showcased the participants' best poster designs and educational videos, allowing them to present their work and demonstrate the practical skills they had acquired throughout the workshop. Commending their enthusiasm and creativity, Abdul Latif Bhuiyan encouraged the participants to continue exploring emerging technologies while emphasizing the importance of using AI responsibly and ethically in their academic and future professional lives.

In his closing remarks, Pradip Kumar Biswas thanked the participants and encouraged them to utilize mobile technology not only for entertainment but also as a powerful tool for education, personal development, and social impact. The workshop concluded with a collective commitment to promoting the safe, ethical, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing the importance of digital innovation in empowering young people for the future.

Through this initiative, RHSTEP reaffirmed its commitment to equipping adolescents with future-ready digital skills, AI literacy, creative innovation, and responsible technology use through the Aporajeyo Tarunno (UYP) project. By fostering digital empowerment and technological inclusion, RHSTEP continues to prepare young people to become informed, innovative, and responsible leaders in an increasingly digital world.
