In an era of rapid technological transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life. Recognizing the need to equip adolescents with relevant digital skills and prepare them for the rapidly evolving digital world, RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno organized a webinar titled “Creativity with AI and a Digitally Safe Life” on 5 July 2026 (Sunday).
The mobile-based AI webinar was held for adolescents through the Aparajeyo Tarunno Project’s Dhaka office, providing participants with an opportunity to explore the potential of AI while also developing awareness of responsible and safe digital practices.
At the beginning of the program, Senior Program Officer Aktanin Khayer Tanin delivered the welcome remarks and highlighted the growing importance of AI in shaping the future. Referring to the rapid development of technology, she emphasized the need for young people to understand and responsibly use AI while keeping ethical considerations at the center of technological engagement.
The webinar provided participants with a practical introduction to AI-powered creativity and digital content development. Through hands-on learning, adolescents were introduced to the basics of writing effective prompts and using AI tools to support creative digital content production.
Beyond creativity and technology, the session placed strong emphasis on digital safety and responsible AI use. Participants discussed practical ways to identify fake news and misinformation, protect personal information online, prevent and respond to cyberbullying, and maintain safer digital habits.
The webinar also explored the importance of gender-sensitive and inclusive technology. Participants were encouraged to consider how AI and digital technologies can be used responsibly to promote equality, inclusion, and positive social change rather than reinforcing harmful stereotypes or discrimination.
Approximately 30 participants, including UYP mentors and advocates as well as adolescents and community members from the Mironjilla and Korail communities, took part in the online webinar. Their participation created an interactive learning environment where young people could explore new technological opportunities while discussing the challenges and responsibilities associated with digital platforms and AI.
The session was facilitated by Program Officer Sayma Akter, who served as the trainer and guided participants through the practical aspects of AI use. Senior Program Officer Aktanin Khayer Tanin moderated the webinar, while Deputy Program Manager S. M. Kamrul Ahsan and Senior Program Officer Azharul Haque were responsible for multimedia and documentation.
Supporting the community-based participation, Program Officer Zubaida Anjum Saba and Trainer (Multimedia) Ahadul Siraj were present with participants in the Mironjilla community, while Tanjina Sultana and Rupam Roy coordinated participation from the Korail community.
The webinar demonstrated the importance of preparing adolescents not only to use emerging technologies, but also to understand their ethical, social, and safety implications. By combining AI literacy, creativity, digital safety, inclusion, and responsible technology use, the initiative contributed to building a generation of young people who can engage with technology confidently and positively.
Through initiatives such as this, Aparajeyo Tarunno continues to create opportunities for adolescents and young people to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate the digital world and contribute to meaningful social change.
