On 27 July 2026, RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno (Unlocking Youth Potential) Mymensingh Unit organized “School Awareness Program – 03” at Royal Media College, Mymensingh, with the aim of increasing awareness among adolescents, building self-confidence, encouraging future goal setting and developing leadership qualities.

The awareness program provided students with an engaging platform to discuss leadership development, personal capacity building, self-confidence, future planning and the importance of setting meaningful goals. Students received practical guidance on identifying their aspirations, making informed decisions and utilizing their potential to become responsible and capable citizens in the future.

The program was attended by the Principal of Royal Media College, a Lecturer and an Assistant Professor, who addressed the students and encouraged them to actively participate in such awareness initiatives. They appreciated the initiative and urged students to remain conscious and proactive in shaping their future.

The program was presented and moderated by Md. Ershad Mia, Youth Officer, UYP, who provided an overview of the objectives and activities and ensured the smooth and engaging facilitation of the event.

A key session titled “Leadership Development and Goal Setting” was facilitated by Mentor Prabhat Das and Youth Advocate Bannaya Basphor. The session focused on developing students’ understanding of leadership qualities, self-confidence, responsibility, decision-making skills and the importance of setting goals for their future lives.

The facilitators also encouraged students to identify their individual interests, skills and potential, set realistic and achievable goals, and move forward through structured planning and consistent effort. The discussion emphasized that understanding one’s strengths and having a clear sense of direction can help young people make better decisions and work more effectively toward their aspirations.

Throughout the session, students participated actively and enthusiastically. They shared their views and asked questions related to leadership, future goals and personal development. The facilitators responded to their questions and provided practical guidance, making the discussion more interactive and meaningful.

The program contributed to strengthening students’ leadership qualities, self-confidence and positive understanding of future goal setting. Their active participation demonstrated that with appropriate knowledge, guidance and encouragement, young people can recognize their potential, make responsible decisions and take meaningful steps toward building a positive and successful future
