On 8 August 2026, RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno (Unlocking Youth Potential – UYP) Project organized a networking meeting on “The Importance of Nutrition in Adolescent Reproductive Health” at RHSTEP Alordhara Pathshala in Noapara, Akhalia, Sylhet.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Sheikh Tawhida Rahman, Lecturer, Leading University, Sylhet, who discussed the importance of adequate and appropriate nutrition for adolescents, balanced eating habits and the vital role of nutrition in protecting reproductive health.

During the session, participants learned about the importance of maintaining healthy dietary practices during adolescence, a critical stage of physical and psychological development. The discussion emphasized how proper nutrition can contribute to adolescents’ overall health and well-being while supporting healthy reproductive development.

The meeting was chaired by Mehedi Hasan, Project Officer, Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP), RHSTEP Sylhet.

Participants emphasized the importance of increasing awareness among adolescents about healthy eating habits, nutrition and reproductive health. They highlighted that ensuring young people receive accurate knowledge and develop healthy practices regarding nutrition and reproductive health from an early age can contribute significantly to their healthy development, well-being and overall quality of life.

Through this networking initiative, RHSTEP continues to promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration around adolescent health, nutrition and reproductive health, helping young people develop the awareness and healthy practices needed for a healthier future.
