On 11 August 2026, RHSTEP’s Unlocking Youth Potential (UYP) Project organized “Networking Workshop–02” for young people from marginalized communities at the UYP Centre, Khulna. The three-hour workshop brought together 20 participants to strengthen their digital skills, confidence and meaningful participation in technology.

The workshop focused on the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, employment and everyday life. Through hands-on sessions, participants learned how AI can be used for CV preparation, report writing, information searching and solving everyday problems. The practical approach enabled participants to explore AI tools in a simple and accessible way.

A key focus of the workshop was to reduce fear and hesitation around using AI and build participants’ confidence in adopting new technologies. The session also emphasized peer group learning, knowledge sharing and networking, encouraging participants to learn from one another and develop supportive connections.

Participants included a university student and a person with a disability, along with young people from marginalized communities in Khalishpur New Colony, Bastuhara and Maheshwarpasha areas of Khulna. Their participation highlighted the importance of creating inclusive opportunities for young people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

The workshop was attended by distinguished guests Manab Ranjan Bashar, Social Services Officer, Urban Social Services Office, Khulna, and Tahsin Tasnim Soha, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Social Sciences, Khulna University.

Through Networking Workshop–02, RHSTEP took an important step towards strengthening digital literacy, AI awareness, self-confidence and inclusive participation in technology among marginalized youth. The initiative also encouraged young participants to explore technology as a practical tool for learning, communication, employment preparation and addressing everyday challenges.
