RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP), Rajshahi organized a session titled “Empower Young Women and Engage Youth with Disabilities in Health Reform Efforts”** on 18 August 2026. The session focused on young women’s empowerment, skills development, leadership, and the meaningful inclusion of youth with disabilities in health and development initiatives.
The session was attended by Ashikur Islam, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Development, as Chief Guest. Dipti Sarker, Project Officer, chaired the session, while Md. Faridul Islam, Youth Officer, facilitated the program.
The discussion highlighted the importance of education, technical training, and skills development in strengthening young women’s self-reliance and leadership. Participants were also encouraged to explore skills-development and vocational training opportunities offered through the Department of Youth Development.
The session emphasized ensuring equal opportunities and appropriate support for youth with disabilities, enabling their meaningful participation in health and development efforts. The initiative contributed to building greater awareness and positive perspectives on young women’s empowerment and disability-inclusive participation in health reform.
