RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP), Gaibandha organized “Disability-Inclusive Health Initiative Program-01” on 20 August 2026 at Gaibandha Buddhi Protibondhi O Autistic School, Gaibandha Sadar. The program aimed to promote awareness of health rights, participation, leadership, and inclusive healthcare for persons with disabilities.

The program was moderated by Youth Advocate Pranta Babu Pias and chaired by Project Officer Mst. Asfia Khatun. Unit Manager Md. Enamul Haque delivered the welcome remarks, while Youth Officer Md. Tajbiul Islam discussed the objectives of the initiative.

Mentor Rabiul Islam Mondal highlighted disability leadership, communication, self-expression, and the importance of meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in the health system.

An open discussion allowed participants and school teachers to share their experiences and perspectives. Sultan Mahmud Shaheen, Acting Head Teacher and the key discussant, addressed participants’ questions and discussed various aspects of health rights and access to healthcare for persons with disabilities.

The session concluded with a discussion by Project Officer Mst. Asfia Khatun on nutritious food, health awareness, and reproductive health services. The program ended with prize distribution and a group photo, bringing together participants around the shared goal of promoting more inclusive and accessible health services.
