RHSTEP’s Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYP), Sylhet organized “Implement Program to Empower Young Women and Engage Youth with Disabilities in Health Reform Efforts-2” on 22 August 2026 at Alordhara Pathshala, Akhalia Noapara, Sylhet. The initiative focused on promoting health rights, SRHR, gender equality, and disability-inclusive healthcare.

The program was chaired by Mehedi Hasan, Project Officer, Aparajeyo Tarunno, Sylhet, who highlighted the objectives and importance of the initiative in his opening remarks.

Guest speaker Dr. Nasrin Sultana Lucky, Professor, Department of Surgery and Theriogenology, Faculty of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Sylhet Agricultural University, discussed health rights, gender equality, disability inclusion, and meaningful youth participation in health-related initiatives.

Around 20–22 participants, including young women, youth with disabilities, marginalized youth, mentors, advocates, and peer educators, participated in the program. Through group discussions, experience sharing, and a “Barrier to Solution” activity, participants identified barriers to accessing healthcare and developed potential solutions and recommendations for more inclusive and accessible health services.
