On 23 April 2026, a school awareness program was organized to promote adolescent reproductive health protection under the theme “Rights and Choices: Sexual Reproductive Health for All” at Sabera Khatun Girls’ Secondary School in Barishal by UYP Barishal Centre.

The program began with an engaging and enjoyable ice-breaking session that encouraged active participation from the students and created a friendly learning environment.

Following the opening session, Youth Officer Joy Hari Biswas delivered the welcome speech, where he highlighted the importance of providing accurate information to adolescents during the period of physical and mental transformation.

During the program, a detailed PowerPoint presentation was conducted focusing on important aspects of reproductive health and adolescence. The presentation covered key topics including puberty, nutrition and hygiene, myths and misconceptions, social awareness, and reproductive rights.

After the presentation, an interactive feedback session was held where participants were given the opportunity to openly discuss their questions, concerns, and confusions related to adolescent health and reproductive issues.

To assess participants’ understanding and encourage engagement, a quiz competition was organized, and attractive prizes were distributed among the winners.

In the concluding phase of the event, the Assistant Headmistress appreciated the timely and innovative initiative of Aparajeyo Tarunno and encouraged participants to use the knowledge gained from the session to create awareness among others and contribute to building a more informed society.

Finally, Project Officer Salma Khanam delivered the closing remarks, urging participants to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives and play an active role in developing a conscious and healthy community.

The program successfully promoted awareness on adolescent reproductive health, rights, hygiene, and social responsibility, reinforcing RHSTEP–UYP’s commitment to empowering young people through education and awareness initiatives.
