On 27 April 2026, RHSTEP–Aparajeyo Tarunno Barishal organized a school awareness program at A.R.S. Secondary Girls’ School under the theme “Rights and Choices: Sexual Reproductive Health for All”, aiming to ensure adolescent reproductive health protection through knowledge, awareness, and informed choices.

The event began with an engaging ice-breaking session where students actively participated, creating an interactive and comfortable environment for learning and discussion.

Following the opening activity, Youth Officer Joy Hari Biswas delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the importance of accurate information during adolescents’ physical and mental transition period. He highlighted that awareness and knowledge are essential for helping young people navigate puberty in a healthy and informed manner.

A detailed PowerPoint presentation was conducted to introduce students to important topics related to reproductive health and adolescence. Key discussion areas included puberty, nutrition and personal hygiene, myths and misconceptions, social awareness, reproductive rights, and healthy behavioral practices.

After the presentation, an interactive feedback session was organized, allowing participants to openly discuss their concerns, ask questions, and address confusion regarding adolescent reproductive health and personal well-being.

To assess participants’ understanding and maintain enthusiasm, a quiz competition was arranged, and attractive prizes were distributed among the winners to encourage active engagement and learning.

In the concluding session, the Assistant Head Teacher appreciated Aparajeyo Tarunno for organizing a timely and impactful initiative. He emphasized the importance of extracurricular learning alongside formal education and highlighted the necessity of adolescent awareness education during puberty. He encouraged participants to remain informed and to share their knowledge with others to help build a more aware and responsible society.

Finally, Project Officer Salma Khanam delivered the closing remarks, encouraging participants to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives and contribute toward promoting awareness and healthy practices in their communities.

Overall, the program played an important role in strengthening adolescent reproductive health awareness, informed decision-making, and social responsibility among students.
