On 07 May 2026, Aparajeyo Tarunno, Dhaka organized a school-based awareness program at Meherunnesa Girls’ School & College located in Kathalbagan. The program was conducted in strategic partnership with Cimede Health Limited, whose representatives were also present during the session.

The main theme of the program was “Digital Addiction: Health Risks and Remedies for Adolescents.” The session focused on raising awareness among students about the harmful effects of excessive use of digital devices and practical ways to reduce dependency.

Through interactive discussions, students were introduced to important topics such as time management for digital device usage, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and the psychological and physiological impacts of digital addiction. The session also explained how excessive digital engagement can lead to abnormal dopamine stimulation in the brain and increased cortisol levels, resulting in heightened stress and mental health challenges.

The session was observed by Senior Program Officer Akhtanin Khayer Tanin of Aparajeyo Tarunno. The program was facilitated by Project Officers Hojifa Sakhawat and Tanzina Sultana, Content Writer Nayon Chakraborty, Trainer Ahadul Siraj, and Mentor Sayedul Haque Nishan.

Teachers from the school, including Assistant Teacher Kalpona Adelin Hembram and Physical Education Teacher Rubina Nasrin, were also present and actively supported the session.

Overall, the program contributed to enhancing students’ awareness about digital well-being, healthy habits, and responsible use of technology, aligning with Aparajeyo Tarunno’s mission to promote adolescent health and informed digital behavior.
