On 09 May 2026, under the theme “Rights and Choices: Sexual Reproductive Health for All,” RHSTEP–Aparajeyo Tarunno Barishal organized a community awareness program at Ward No. 7, Palashpur, Barishal, aiming to ensure adolescent reproductive health protection through knowledge sharing and community engagement.
The program began with an engaging and joyful ice-breaking session, encouraging active participation from attendees and creating a friendly and interactive environment.
Following this, Youth Officer Joy Hari Biswas delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the importance of accurate and timely information for adolescents during physical and mental changes in puberty.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation was conducted, covering key aspects of adolescent reproductive health and puberty. The session addressed important topics such as adolescence, nutrition and hygiene, myths and misconceptions, social awareness, and reproductive rights.
After the presentation, an interactive feedback session was held where participants openly discussed their doubts and questions, creating a meaningful two-way learning environment.
To further enhance engagement and learning, a quiz competition was organized, and winners were awarded attractive prizes, which added enthusiasm among participants.
In the concluding phase of the program, Community Leader Md. Kamal Hossain appreciated Aparajeyo Tarunno for organizing a timely and impactful initiative. He emphasized the importance of adolescent health education alongside formal education and encouraged participants to stay aware and responsible. He also stated that true education becomes meaningful only when it is used for the betterment of others, urging participants to spread awareness in their communities.
Finally, Project Officer Salma Khanam delivered the closing remarks, officially concluding the program. She encouraged all participants to apply the knowledge gained in real life and take active steps toward building a more informed and aware society.
Overall, the initiative played a significant role in strengthening awareness on adolescent reproductive health, rights, and responsibilities within the community.
