RHSTEP Alor Dhara Pathshala, Aparajeyo Tarunno, Gaibandha Center organized a significant event titled “Ensure Active Participation of Marginalized Groups in Health and SRHR Dialogue and Action-01” on 23 May 2026. The program was designed to strengthen inclusive participation in discussions and decision-making processes related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
The primary objective of this initiative was to ensure that marginalized and underprivileged communities have an active voice in health-related policy dialogues and actions. The program highlighted that true social progress can only be achieved when every individual, regardless of background, has equal opportunity to participate in shaping health policies and accessing essential services.
Discussions throughout the session emphasized the importance of health equity, social inclusion, and human rights-based approaches in SRHR programming. Participants and stakeholders reflected on how equal participation can contribute to building a healthier, more just, and discrimination-free society.
The event also underlined the connection between inclusive participation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in ensuring universal access to healthcare and leaving no one behind. Speakers stressed that guaranteeing health rights for all is essential for achieving long-term sustainable development and social justice.
Overall, the program served as a strong platform for awareness, dialogue, and commitment toward empowering marginalized communities, ensuring their meaningful participation in health governance, and promoting an inclusive society where everyone’s voice is valued.
